This morning I went into a shop to buy some cough sweets, and was standing in the queue behind two teenage girls (I'll guess at age 14 or 15). They looked to be buying a snack of some sort, to eat on the way to school.

After a few moments, I noticed that she had what appeared to be a bright orange retainer box in her hand.... and started to wonder if I might get to see her braces.

Whilst chatting to her friend, she opened the retainer box.... but no luck, it was empty :-(

Then, she put her hand to her open mouth, and right in front of me removed her clear retainers, and put them into her retainer box, which she then put into her schoolbag :-)
