Just curious if I'm not alone in this. I do like braces on others a lot and have that side of the kink, but also the thought of having them put on myself is arousing for some reason (especially now that it could be a reality.)

It's so many things about it--the anticipation to the day it happens, having to lay down on the chair in that vulnerable position, having the cheek spreader put in so my teeth are exposed and lips can't hide them, having the brackets glued on one by one, especially when they get to the upper row and knowing that it's"irreversible"...that I can't take them off. The embarrassment of how I look with while they're being glued on...the orthodontst and others knowing how I look like and seeing this transformation but not me. And then I imagine after they remove the spreaders and feeling the braces on my teeth with my tongue for the first time, taking in the feeling of the brackets against my lips...it's really arousing. And then seeing them in the mirror for the first time invokes a mixture of dread and excitement. Not sure if I'll feel ugly, shocked, or think I'm hot with them haha.

And then leaving the place with braces just put on and trying to take it all in, it sinking in that I have them now. And then the interactions after..seeing people I know and them noticing the braces. Could be embarrassing but also turns me on, especially if I'm confident and not hiding it. Like yeah, just got braces, so what?

I've never had braces before but those are some things I imagine about getting them. I wonder if I'll actually feel aroused during the process or after, or if its just fantasy. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Does anyone else get turned on by having them yourself or the process of getting them? What specific things about it turn you on?

Absolutely, yes.
I have always said that its removables for me, but its the same overall.
It always was a case of imagining what it would be like to have them myself. Seeing them on others was the trigger, if you like. Seeing how others dealt with them etc and seeing different types. Planning what I would have and what they would feel like but, for years, never really thinking it would be possible.
Then, once I found a way to get them made for real, the super excitement started. Making the first contact with the lab was just about the biggest step. They knew I didn't actually need them but once I had started, the process was 'for real'.
The biggest turn on ever was when the technician actually put the appliances in my mouth and fitted them in place. Then he asked me how they felt ! Nothing could describe that feeling.
And, after a few adjustments and instructions, the question that I hadn't really anticipated...'Do you want to keep them in ?'
Now, I was sort-of assuming that I would slip them into my pocket before leaving, but this was the opening of a whole new situation....I said yes.....and that was it, I would have to experience them for real straight away. Of course I wanted that, but I still wasn't really expecting it.
I left, and it was 'real' ! Talking, eating, sleeping were different from that moment on....and I loved every minute of it....and still do.
I still like to see them on others, see and hear how they deal with them...but its about me really.

I can share the same I like seeing braces on others and when I could afford it I took my courage and booked some appointments with different orthodontiste  office and did my research for my braces and treatment I liked the process visiting different places and finding the tight person that you feel good with and the installation process is great the only regret I have is kot taking pictures from the beginning

What pictures would you have taken? Like before during and after the installation process? Also how did you feel during the process of getting them on and after??

I have a consult in march and I really hope it goes well cause I'm super set on getting them now. I hope the appointment after that one (where I get them on) can be scheduled soon! Ahh I'm like so nervous/excited...the week when its going to happen (or when I know the date) is gonna be too exciting to handle haha.
