braced photoshoots
« on: 20. May 2017, 18:47:37 PM »
Someone else out there taking pictures of braced women on a professional or pro-amateur level? I'm not a professionally educated photographer but earned quite good money for several years in this field.
I know about dembones, who unfortunately hasn't posted any new pictures in a while (excellent work btw).

My girlfriend doesn't want these pictures to be on the internet and i absolutely respect that, so don't bother to ask for them. But yesterday we had a really nice shooting. We're currently in the caribbean and went to an empty beach i found last week. I brought my DSLR and my big studio flash that is powerful enough to overpower the sun. She was wearing a pink bikini, heels and the modified twin blocks from the bracesshop combined with headgear with a pink neckstrap. She is an absolute beauty and has some modeling experience as we did several shoots in the last years. We stayed there for about three hours and took loads of pics with her posing on the beach and on a nearby field of rocks, and even if i haven't post-processed the pictures yet the outcome is absolutely stunning.

Any of you doing stuff like that as well? If so, i would like to hear about the shoots you did or you plan to do. Maybe there are some good ideas i can copy!

My wife and I paid a photographer to do some fairly racy shots of us. She wore her fake braces (this was before she got real braces). It was all very artsy and cool. My wife wore a corset in some pics, I wore a suit in some, there were pics of us kissing, in a steaming shower, and even some images that implied a sort of "50 Shades" element. It was all done in a very high-end hotel suite. It was a fun day and the pictures came out great!

I have neither the equipment nor the skill necessary to do anything like that myself. We've done a lot of amateur video about braces, a lot of it very fictionalized, but it's very far from polished or professional. Our current little photo project is chronicling her braces experience with "one selfie a day," which is actually usually several selfies a day. Certainly not pro-level, but it's fun.

Thank you - I haven't had any good models in a while.
