BracketSAR fixed removable braces?
« on: 08. September 2012, 02:29:08 AM »
Has anyone heard of bracketSAR? It seems like it would be perfect for us who love and want to wear braces, but can never find (at least I haven't) an ortho willing to put us in braces if we don't need them. Waht bracketSAR is are aligner trays like invisalign, but with fixed braces molded in as well. Supposedly it moves teeth 10x faster or something - sort of all the advantages of fixed with the advantage of being removable of the trays. Of course fixed braces will always be my favorite, but finding a friendly dentist who does bracketSAR would be the next best thing. : )

Tell me if it's a joke, because honestly it sounds like one.  lol

Thanks! Yeah I contacted them and they didn't give any prices, didn't know of anyone doing this in the U.S. and just suggested I come to Orlando for the seminar. Well without info I am not! It does look encouraging for us fans of braces though. Nothing beats real braces of course and I would never want to see this replace traditional braces, but as far as fake braces go these look pretty good.

I wonder if someone could create something with just the last few molars covered in the clear plastic to hold the braces in place? That would be super realistic then, without plastic over the visable teeth, and without a plastic plate on the pallette

Just ordered one case. You pay only per aligner ordered, $240 each. Average 2 to 3 aligners are enough to correct most cases. Fixed braces are best, for sure when patients want them... Looks better than any plastic aligners though.

I'd like to try them but for me, having the plastic plate is part of the attraction.
