told my hairdresser I might need braces
« on: 17. February 2020, 23:04:08 PM »
Between the questions about the latest movie I watched and what my next holiday plans are, I mentioned I had to go to the dentist.

My hairdresser replies immediately "oh I hate the dentist".

This peeked my interest and I said how they took x-rays since I had not been in forever. I then hinted at the fact I might need braces. She said "oh no, as an adult? You'd get these modern invisible ones".

Now this is where it was left, but it got me thinking. Imagine that I show up for my next appointment with a simple retainer, facebow and neck band. Thinking I was only getting those Invisalign ones, but the orthodontist had other plans.

Then the appointment after I could have a vanbeek activator with high pull headgear.

I know this is a fantasy, but imagine the look on her face when I sit down in her chair with headgear and a lisp, hah.

This made me curious, did anyone ever hint at braces to later 'show' their fake braces? Or even thought about this?

I might write a story about this topic in the future.
