Nervous about getting braces.

I'm considering lower fixed braces to close a gap from a molar extraction, and the orthodontist says it's possible. I'm excited about the potential but nervous about the social aspect. My teeth are already relatively straight, and I'm worried about people questioning why I'd get braces. I'm also partly afraid that my fetish will be discovered. Has anyone else experienced similar anxieties? Did it deter you from getting braces, and if not, how did you manage it?

I'd grin widely.  If anyone did ask, tell them that it's to sort out problems related to the extraction.  The less you make of it, the less others will either.

Honestly braces aren't that big of a deal. Plus I think they make a great fashion statement.

In my experience, very few people will say anything. My teeth looked pretty straight before getting braces, and of the small percentage of people who have said anything to me about having braces, only one or maybe two of them have asked why or been the ones to bring up the reason for me getting braces.

Thanks for your thoughts and I know once I had them I wouldn't think twice about my decision but I just can't seem to shake my nerves about getting them.

A few people mite be mildly curiouse but most people won't really care everyone's too wrapped up in there own dramas. When I transitioned  from male to female I was nervous about  people's reactions but most people are fine about it most don't care the ones that do have been supportive of the people I know only one person has been an as**ole about it. The reason I'm telling you all this is to let you see that you will be fine go get your braces and enjoy them
