What kind of adhesive is best for glueing brackets to an Essix retainer?

Go on Amazon and look up "tooth gem kit." I've seen posters on tiktok use the adhesive and blue UV light that comes with these kits to put gems on their Essix retainers to give them a little bit of bling. If this process works with gems I don't see why it couldn't also work with orthodontic brackets as well? With all that being said though, the adhesive could potentially be damaging to your retainers so do at your own risk.

I used a glue called Bondic. It's a uv glue that bonds ok. If you grab the brackets with pliers and twist they will pop off if needed. Have not noticed any damage to the retainers. Been a few months.

I'd say get extra retainers to work on, they're available (UK) for £55 per pair if you shop around online. Obviously you'll need impressions/3D scans

Bondic seems to be the adhesive of choice, definitely spend time to rough up the surface of the retainer where you intend to bond the bracket too
