I would like to share my experience with you!
I am a guy, 31yrs of age, living in the Netherlands, one the biggest braces-countries in the world I think.. I am a huge braces-fan and did have my official treatment allready.. however.. I am now just wearing for fun.. I had some fake braces, retainers, twin-blocks made by dentist/orthodontists and also several HG's with neckstrap and headstrap..and even several facemasks... I am also thinking about make an big order at the braces shop.. Anyways, I m now wearing the fake ones also in public and with confidence.. I have no trouble at all wearing facemask or HG in public and even both together.. as a combination..
So you could say it's a big fetish for me..
At the end of september I went on holiday to Sri Lanka, the my home country where I was born. I was traveling with Emirates from Brussels to Dubai, and then to destination Colombo, Sri Lanka..
During the travels from Brussels I put on my HG braces.. becaus I obviously love to wear braces and wait and see how people react.. the flight attendends seemed to like it because one of them was constantly staring and had some small conversations with me.. and winked me several times haha also she want said OK when I asked to make a selfie with her.. when we arrived at Dubai airport..
At Dubai airport it seemed that the Arabic people are not used to HG in general. Because, several times people of security and also at some check points asked me what I was wearing.. some people thought that it was a new advanced audio system... I was have trouble not to laugh with that one..
Anyway, it seemed that people where wondering what it was that I was wearing.. Also I have to tell you this... I am a smoker, and I was seeking the smokerslounge at Dubai airport and I did'nt take my braces of so I decided to smoke with the HG in place and also that seemed to got a lot of attention..
There was even what looked like a chinese guy, that tried to make a picture of my with his phone.. ( I saw in my left eye corner) Anyways, I had no problems with that because I have found out that when you can drink out of a glass or straw with HG.. than smoking isn't a big deal too.. ( yes, I know it's bad for my health)
After a 8 hour stop at Dubai I traveled to Colombo airport. When I arrived it was around afternoon so lots of sun and temperture about 30 degreess..
So very nice!! I traveled with a taxi to my hotel and than took some rest in my hotel room. Because it takes to much of your time I will not tell about every day of my holiday but some highlights..
* On one of the days I went for a city trip at Colombo in my HG.. I was getting a lot of stares.. and some people asking what it was.. It seemes that they are not used to someone wearing HG in public.. and also only the rich people can effort braces at a country like Sri Lanka, so you can imagine that I saw not much people wearing braces.. In fact I saw just one or 2 people with braces in 3 weeks of Sri Lanka.. It's very rare over there.. However I asked around and discovered that braces treatment with the metal brackets on upper and lower jaw will cost about 500 dollars over there for the full treatment.. so that is very cheap when you compare it with Europe I think..
* One week later I was back at the capital city Colombo after some trip in the country side.. and than on one evening I decided to go out and visit the club life..
I visit one club called Cleopatra.. And I decided to keep my headgear on.. haha.. So can you imagine that! I was getting lots of stares.. from the crowd..
And first I felt a little uncomfortable.. but after about 10 minutes I felt it was no problem at all!
Eventually, something amazing happend! I was getting some attention from some girls.. At first some girls where dancing in front of me and turning towards me and staring or trying to dance with me.. haha that was fun.. After that the climax of the evening was there.. one girl obviously under the influence of some wodka or something came to me.. and without any hesititation she took my hand and walked with me to the lounge area.. there we had some drinks and finally she kissed me.. Yes people, you cannot imagine, how surprised I was .. but she did'nt care of my HG for one moment.. I think she tought: '' I do anything for that guy because he looks like a tourist with some money'' Anyways, she kissed me in that publics lounge area while I had my HG on.. and although some people where laughing or staring.. I was 100% oke with that haha .. After we danced and had some drinks and around 5 in de morning I went back to my hotel..
