Begg style brackets seen!
« on: 03. May 2009, 04:49:22 AM »
I was at a restaurant tonight (UK), and one of the waitresses (F, maybe 25, 26) had braces.
I was up at the bar and mentioned that I thought it was pretty cool that she had the guts to get braces at her age, as I was thinking of getting them myself. She laughed and said "well, I don't care about them, but the money is killing me!"
Noticed that she had the "Begg" style brackets, but wasn't going to get that far into it in case she thought I was weird. I haven't seen those type of brackets in years! She told me about elastics and how sore they were, but she never wears them for work. She has 6 all together when she wears them.
Nice girl, nice chat. I didn't think they used the Begg brackets anymore!

Wow - I remember when I was at schol a friend of mind had Begg style brackets - I haven't seen those used since I don't think.

I always thought they looked pretty good witht he pin in them to hold the wire into the bracket.

Also do bands get used on the back molars as often as they did?  Maybe only with headgear now?
