Ruins the effect!  and doe sit really do such a good job?  Someone I work with tried it and while there was improvement he wasn't ever 100% happy with the results.

Nowadays Invisaling achieves the same results as the traditional treatment in 99% of the cases. But in my opinion I can wear It because I know I don't compliance

The only thing I like about Invisalign is that there might be some people who would normally not opt for braces (because of all the metal) and go in for a consultation thinking they can get Invisalign. Then due to cost, practicality, or other magical reason, it is metal braces after all.

I'm sure this mostly happens in our stories, but I'm sure there's some poor individual out there that regrets their Invisalign consultation.  >:D

Not a fan. Cannot see how it properly can align teeth. Looks like a sportsmouthguard, nothing more.

I agree. I cant see how they can possibly actually align teeth on their own as they are just a type of retainer. Surely all they can do is keep the teeth to the same position as the impression.

I am quite convinced that they are all about the money. Once there is a plaster mould, the Invisalign must take only seconds to make on a vacuum forming machine. Then they charge a fortune and justify that by selling the 'invisible' thing.

Certainly not for me.

It‘s crazy to see how many different practices are offering Invisalign atm, also with solely online treatments. Always wondering if this is really something a lot of people go for.

I want to discuss recent movement and a possible treatment with my dentist at my next appointment, but Invisalign would not be an option for me.
Not sure if I really want an active treatment again, but I would probably prefer the real deal.

At my First appointment at the orthodontist, she told me that she could correcte the gaps with invisalign . I asked her of Brackets could be an alternative and she was Really excited. From the view of an orthodontist, she Said, Brackets Are more precise and much better. But Adults normally dont want to have braces, so she was Really surprised, that i asked for it. I guess Unfortunately invalisign will be the Future in orthodontic treatments. Hard Times for the Friends of braces and headgears

I like invisalign wit metal buttons and elastics. And the attachments make them so obvious, people could never see the "invisible" aligners of course. ::)
The adverts never show attachments, just good looking people with perfect teeth an not an aligner in sight.
I would be annoyed if I wanted a clear aligner and ended up with big lumpy attachments everywhere - it just makes your teeth look weird. At least metal or ceramic braces people realise you have braces, instead of just weird looking teeth.

Its obviously not as noticable as traditional braces so from an interest standpoint its not good, but from a practical sense it seems to be great as a braces alternative.

I guess it's not surprising that we are no fans of invisalign here - I'm not either, nor Essix retainers, come to think of it.

I wonder if Invisalign has grown in "popularity" because of the growing number of places offering "cosmetic dentistry" (i.e. not necessarily consultant orthodontists) and thus attracting people to treatment they wouldn't otherwise have considered, even as teenagers, but actually, the good old fashioned "heavy movement" is still done with braces?

Only metal braces are real braces, the more metal the better.
And if really necessary to use plastic appliances they need to be bulky, so that you can at least hear them.
But nothing to see and nothing to hear? Not even worth talking about. ????
