I don't have anything good to say about invisalign of course mainly because it reduces the number of braces out there for us to view!  But if faced with the prospect of wearing it, I think I'd have to choose standard braces as an alternative.  I wouldn't want the hassle of keeping track of wearing the aligners, keeping them clean, taking them out to eat, etc.  Not to say braces don't have their own hassles, they are just less to think about.

It's not braces. And if I were to have a treatment rn I'd never consider it bc it's so uncomfortable. I wore it every night for a year after I got my braces off and it was legit so annoying! I'd go for brackets again now.

I hate it. Invisalign is hardly invisible, they just look clunky and inelegant. Trying to hide the anchors as tooth-colored just makes them look like weird growths on some teeth. The whole thing is so unappealing. I feel similarly about ceramics; they blend in just enough to look like natural teeth that have something wrong with them. Just get real braces and own it! Seeing someone unabashedly own their braces is SO attractive. Seeing someone hide behind Invisalign is the opposite.

Invisalign is mainly used for aesthetic correction. it is simply the wrong system for TMD complaints. And everyone has to decide for themselves whether the constant insertion and removal is really an advantage.
