Mikey (Sean Astin), the boy who has the lead in the movie (he was 14 at that time) has braces. Right after Andy kisses Mikey, she says to Stef "There's something weird....does Brand wear braces?". When Andy asks Brand if he wears braces, he gets mad because he knows that Mikey kissed her.
