Das klingt alles hervorragend, aber wie ist denn nun letztendlich die Lage mit der Frage, ob die Metallschienen auch gut halten?
Ich hätte erwartet, dass sie ohne Haftcreme schon gut sitzen könnte. Da ich aber vermutlich auch im UK einen Expander nehmen werde, kann ich ja vermutlich auch über den etwas besseren Sitz auslösen, oder?

The appliance arrived yesterday and... it's perfect! Aside from being a really nice-looking device, it fits perfectly and is quite stable on the teeth. Instead of brackets, I opted for two labial bows to give it extra stability. Now, I'll start experimenting with it... I'll keep you posted!

Speaking clearly isn’t the easiest thing, but it’s possible, especially in situations where you wear it for several hours. My goal is to do a full weekend without taking it off, from Friday to Monday. So far, the longest I’ve managed to wear it is 16 consecutive hours, including overnight.

I find it extremely useful to use a good adhesive for prosthetics to make the situation and the feeling even more realistic; this way, it really feels fixed! If you’re thinking about getting a similar appliance made, ask the technician if it’s possible to make it without the part that covers the crowns of the teeth, as it slightly alters the bite.
