About this Italian woman in HG.. It could be that I have something to do about it..
The thing is, a few months ago I had some email contact with her... It started just about exchanging experiences about wearing braces. I am wearing HG as an adult in the Netherlands now. I told her that I did wear it in public.
Than she replyed she was scared about doing that, and she only did wear it at home at that moment. But she was open for suggestions. So than I send her some links of YouTube vlogs of adult women wearing headgear. So, than she replyed me in an email that she was very gratefull and that it did give her lots of confidence to wear the headgear in public to…
She thanked me for the support and than started to make videos of wearing it in public. I'm not saying it's all my doing, but perhaps my emails gave her a bit more confidence to wear it in public. In the Netherlands where I live there are more adults in headgear wearing it in public. I contacted some online to get in touch and share experiences. It's great that this is all possible online... Internet can connect people so easily !
